Allowed image hosts
Each client has an exact hostname allowlist. A host such as media.example.com does not allow example.com, a subdomain, or a hostname that merely ends in similar text. Only submit public HTTPS URLs from a configured host.
- Private IPv4 and IPv6 destinations are rejected.
- Redirects are rejected; use the final image URL directly.
- Static JPEG, PNG, and WebP are supported. Animated images and other media types are not.
- Default per-image limits are 10 MiB and 16 megapixels.
- A submission may include at most 8 image URLs.
Read limits from the API
GET /api/v1/me and GET /api/v1/usage return requests_per_minute, jobs_per_day, images_per_day, and max_pending. Do not assume the same values apply to every client.
Submission quota accounting uses UTC days. A job with multiple images consumes one job submission and the corresponding number of images. A pending-job cap also protects worker capacity.
HTTP 429 can indicate request rate, daily submission quota, or pending-job capacity. Inspect the response and wait for the relevant condition to clear; repeated immediate retries will not help.
Retention and operations
The default retention for terminal jobs is 7 days; your service retention policy may differ. If you need a longer audit history, store the results you require within your own approved retention process before expiry.
Persist your own application’s relationship between its content and the returned job ID. The reference field is your correlation label, not an alternate authorization mechanism.
